God’s plans – written by a member of Shinchonji

Throughout my life, various people have reminded me of the verse Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose”. This verse often encouraged me, but as I went along in life and encountered difficult situations, I found myself not loving God, although I was searching for Him. I couldn’t understand how I could live my life as such a sinner and still consider myself a “Christian”, let alone someone who loves God and expects His “blessing”.

Not till the fall of 2010 did God make His plan and purpose clear to me. After much turmoil in my life, I decided to move back to the city where I had gone to college. As details started to work out for my job and living situation, an acquaintance from my college days contacted me about a job opening at their own work place, and also invited me to join their Bible study. I had actually been concerned about my spiritual walk since I had never found a church home that I really felt was a place to grow and serve in my college town. My friend’s invitation to study God’s Word together was just the beginning of my prayers being answered.

As I have gone through the study, I have felt so relieved and incredibly blessed to receive this word of life. Since God is life and John 1:1 says that God is the Word, then the only way we can become spiritually alive and flourishing is by spending time not just reading the Bible but even writing this Word on our hearts. I have spent so much of my life praying to God to make my plans and dreams come true, completely ignoring and missing the fact that God has plans too. We so often think that God’s plans are for each of our individual lives- to “prosper us” by giving us a good job, a house, etc. However, we can clearly find in His Word that his plans are for His kingdom to come and for His dwelling place to be once again with mankind. Only when we truly know what God’s heart and plans are can we fully obey him- love Him-and be a part of the plan of blessing.

MAtt 13 - four fields

I am so thankful to the promised pastor for having the heart and courage to be obedient to his appointed task, and- like Jesus- to deliver the message of God’s kingdom to us. Just like the Jews at the time of Jesus’ 1st coming, the hearts of Christians today are hard and unwilling to accept the truth because it doesn’t fit the fantasy that they’ve created in their heads. If we want to be true Christians, then we must be those who work hard to get the weeds out of our hearts, so that we can accept God’s seed and plan and have the ability to discern the truth according to God’s Word. This is how we can be those who are obedient and those who will receive blessings.

I thank God for pursuing me and giving me the opportunity to hear and take to heart the Word of life. I pray that I would have a heart that God loves and that He would be able to use me to give many others the chance to hear this Word!

” It is impossible to learn that which one thinks one already knows” – Epictetus

How do you suppose the pharisees would have felt once they realized too late that they had killed the promised pastor, whom God himself had sent and was working through? Take a moment and try to imagine their hearts?

In Mt 27:2-5 it is clear how Judas felt, his guilt took such strong hold of him that he didn’t even have room for God’s truth anymore, which says that should anyone come to know truth and repent they will be forgiven (Acts 3:19). The shame of his actions was too much for him to bear… because he realized too late.

What about your heart? Wouldn’t it be the most disappointing thing of all, to reach the end and realize only then, that everything you had been running towards was your own desires, your own version of God, and only half the truth… the truth that came for the first coming, but not that which has become complete now at the time of the second coming.

God’s word is being fulfilled, there is time and it is now! Not because of political “worldly” issues, like presidential elections and wars. Not because of advances in technology and science. But because the promised pastor who testifies to the fulfillment of Revelation is here, and asking you to come and listen to what he has to share. Listen with the hunger to know truth, and do not listen with the purpose of simple responding.

Now is not the time to procrastinate… God’s word is at work through Shinchonji and if you are sleeping, you will miss it. These days are like the days of Noah (Mt 24:36-39), and there will be a time when “the floods” come and “the doors are shut”, so we invite the whole world to hear the testimony! May the whole world listen, have eyes to see, and ears to hear. Amen!

There is no time to procrastinate

There are some days when this video = me…
I know that procrastination and laziness are not totally the same thing, but one usually leads to the other, and so it got me thinking. Proverbs 10:4 says,

“Lazy hands make a man poor,
   but diligent hands bring wealth.”

It is important to understand the true meaning of being ‘poor’ and having ‘wealth’. God’s word is compared to precious treasures (Ps 119:172, Ps 12:6), and having wisdom and true understanding of His word is more valuable than any physical treasure (Pr 8:10-11). In the parables in Matthew 13, ‘hidden treasure’ and ‘pearls’ (precious things) are used to describe God’s kingdom and His word of truth. Therefore, if I am not working and seeking to understand and gain true wisdom about God’s word, ultimately, I will be seen as spiritually poor in His eyes, no matter how many spiritual ‘riches’ I might think I have.

I do not want to be like one of these people in Revelation 3:17

“You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.”

Luckily in the next verse (Rv 3:18) Jesus counsels them to buy from him the things that they need so they can see, be covered (correctly dressed), and be wealthy. However, this involves repentance, and acceptance of their wrong ways.

Now is the time to gain the true understanding, a complete understanding of God’s word, from Genesis to Revelation. Now is the time to follow God’s light (Ps 119:105) and truth (John 17:17) to His holy mountain, the place where He dwells (Is 2:2-3; Heb 12:22; Rv 14:1-3). His word has been opened and revealed, there is no time to procrastinate, but are you willing to step out of your comfort zone and truly seek God’s kingdom and righteousness before all else? (Mt 6:33)

Psalm 43:3

“Send forth your light and your truth,
   let them guide me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell.”
